Welcome to Jynsoerth!

Welcome to my own cozy, crazy, non-sticky strand of the web. It is a place for me to share my interests and my stories with whoever finds them interesting.

A little background on the name of jynsoerth… Many, many moons ago, my husband, who was in the Navy at the time, went off to sea for a very long time. When he returned home, he brought with him this new, exciting game called AD&DTM. He got me hooked on the game during the few months he was home, and when he went back out for a long cruise (this was way before the new navy with their short little jaunts), I decided to get the books. The only place I could find them, since I was overseas, was in the SearsTM catalogue. Once I got the core set of books, the other wives and I started playing, since our husbands were out to sea. Since we were overseas, there was nowhere to buy the various modules, or to get the ready-made maps of the lands, so I created my own.

After over 20 years of people exploring that world that I had started during those lonely nights, I ended up with a complex world that had expanded from the one dungeon near a town that I had begun with to a complete world with a very rich history. Many characters became unforgettable due to the silly, crazy, or outright stupid things they did, like the gnomes who made a ranger afraid of tree leaves. Some of their stories will be contained herein on the stories section. Other stories will also be posted in that section that have nothing at all to do with the world I created and ran groups in for all those years.

Anyway, we had sons, despite all the sea voyages, and these sons began playing with us at a young age. As they grew, and computers came into the house, they found MUDs on the web. Text-only, multi-user, rpg games. They played them for years before they could persuade me to try them, but once I did, I was hooked right along with them.

From MUDs we graduated to Dark Age of CamelotTM, with the boys playing it a year or so before they got me to leave the DurisTM MUD that I played. I bounced around in the game a bit before I found what fit me best, which is playing Midgard. And I was playing Mid/Kay and got hooked up with the guild Azure Twilight, which is a very friendly bunch indeed. The Azure Twilight tab goes to the part of the website set up for the Azure Twilight guild on Mid/Kay and Mid/Gareth. Currently I am working on getting dragonsworn item info up on the crafting forum. I know there are good sites for info on them, but nowhere has prices listed along with bonuses, which I find annoying, so I’m putting them here. Once the site is upgraded (hopefully soon) I may be able to include pictures of the items too. Currently I only have lgm crafters on mid, so I only am putting up that information. If someone will send me the info on hib and alb items, I will gladly post that too.

Visit as long or as often as you like, and enjoy yourself while you’re here. Please feel free to drop me a line, or even two, if you want. I won’t bite.. hard.
